Cooper Stuart is a Managing Director of DTZ Rockwood, based in the firm’s Dallas office. Since joining DTZ Rockwood in 2006, Mr. Stuart has specialized in sourcing institutional debt and equity and has assisted with loan restructurings, debt and equity underwriting, and property dispositions. Mr. Stuart has executed transactions exceeding $3 billion during his more than 25 year career in the real estate industry. Prior to joining DTZ Rockwood, Mr. Stuart was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Capital Markets Group, where his primary focus was to help developers and operators find reliable institutional JV equity partners for their programmatic equity needs. While at E&Y, he was in charge of the Capital Markets Desk, a resource within the Ernst & Young Real Estate Advisory Services practice, and directed this initiative since its inception in January 2001. Prior to joining E&Y, Mr. Stuart served as Executive Vice President in a Dallas based real estate advisory firm, involved in portfolio acquisitions as well as debt and equity transactions including public offerings. Mr. Stuart received a B.A. from Hobart College and his M.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University, where he also served as an Associate Board member of the Business School.
