Image of Bob Baer Bob Baer is President and CEO of DTZ Rockwood Asociados, DTZ Rockwood’s wholly owned Latin American operating subsidiary. Formed in 2002, DTZ Rockwood Asociados is the sole sub-advisor for a $640 million comingled equity real estate fund sponsored by ING Clarion Partners, investing selectively in Mexico. Prior to joining DTZ Rockwood Asociados, Mr. Baer was a Managing Director with AIG Global Real Estate, where he served as portfolio manager for Latin American investments. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Baer was a Managing Director of Sam Zell’s Equity Group Investments and Managing Director of its affiliate, Equity International Properties, a global real estate fund in which he oversaw investments throughout Latin America. Mr. Baer’s Mexican credentials include: opening and managing the first SEC authorized US broker dealer; serving as US representative for the New York Stock Exchange listed Mexico Fund; serving as advisor to the Mexican government regarding REIT legislation; serving on the New York Advisory Board to the Mexican Tourism Ministry; serving as U.S. representative and financial advisor to the AMPIP (Association of Mexican Private Industrial Park Developers); and direct execution of over $2 billion of debt and equity transactions in Mexico. Mr. Baer is fluent in Spanish and graduated from Lafayette College with a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration.
