Corporate Overview

Pre- & Post-Petition Consulting

Since its formation in 1991, DTZ Rockwood has assisted numerous corporations and financial institutions, including both creditors and debtors, in navigating through Chapter XI and Chapter VII bankruptcy proceedings involving all types and sizes of real estate assets located throughout the United States. In that regard, DTZ Rockwood served as real estate advisor to both Kmart and Comdisco prior to and throughout their respective Chapter XI bankruptcy proceedings and served as post-petition “manager” of Kmart’s real estate department. In addition, DTZ Rockwood has also represented almost every major US bank as real estate advisor regarding numerous single and mutli-asset bankruptcy proceedings and it was the real estate advisor to Travelers Insurance Company regarding 15 single asset bankruptcies involving major real estate assets located throughout the United States, with a book value of more than $2.1 billion.

DTZ Rockwood’s highly experienced staff is able to garner sufficient internal and external resources and expertise to meet the demands of assignments ranging from the largest requirements involving hundreds of assets, as exemplified by the Kmart assignment, which required the valuation of 900 retail stores within a compressed timeframe, to small scale requirements requiring a high degree of “hands on” senior involvement and attention.
